Every time our youngest puts her coat on she immediately sticks her hands in her pockets and asks, “Love Rocks?” She knows our routine; wherever we go, we leave a trail of love and joy. It has been an incredible year at Vibe of Portland. Come join us as we unveil our new Studio AND celebrate our 10th year empowering Portland’s youth through art. Since programming began in 2008, Vibe has grown to work with 10 schools and serve over 3,000 kids. We could not have achieved this without our dedicated staff and the community’s generous support.
Bring the family to this free event on Saturday, September 23 between 10am and 2pm. Tour the new Vibe Studio (formerly the Cafe Au Play space), participate in family art projects, yard games, and raffles. Food cards will be on site with food for purchase. Come celebrate with us!

Besides the obvious lack of talent or interest in the visual arts, there are also logistical barriers to having my three boys choose painting over more popular activities such as wrestling, yelling like cavemen, or laughing at bodily functions. For one, […]
While my children love nature, their enthusiasm for outdoor activities definitely calms with the arrival of fall and winter’s rainy and chilly days. This time of year, getting my girls outside is a priority. I want them to learn to appreciate nature and make their own fun in the great outdoors no matter the season, […]
For many of us, hearing the phrase “kids wearing makeup” immediately conjures up images of Honey Boo Boo and Toddlers in Tiaras—little girls forced to grow up too fast. As soon as I found out I was having a baby girl, I started noticing these shows in a new light, and my mind started whirring […]
