Cookies with Santa {2017 Recap}

0

On the first Saturday of December, we loaded up our holiday gear for a festive Cookies with Santa afternoon event at Dance with Joy Studios in Sellwood. This was the first edition of an event that we’re sure will become an annual PMB tradition!

All photos below – with the exception of the vendor collage – are courtesy of  Traveling Julie Photography. Thank you for capturing such great images of this event!

We hope everyone who wanted to was able to enjoy our low-stress Santa photos! Private mini-sessions with Santa were captured by the talented Traveling Julie Photography, available for download to families after the event. Even better, by allowing people to register for time slots with Santa in advance, we cut down on wait times and everyone avoided the annual mayhem of Santa pictures!

Delectable Baked Goods was also on-site for the day, providing a fantastic and well-received cookie decorating station. It was so popular that they SOLD OUT of their cookie decorating kits at the event, but you can still pick up a kit on their website! While the kids worked their magic at cookie decorating, parents got to enjoy complimentary wine tastings from One Love Cellars and coffee from our friends at Trailhead Coffee Roasters.

Dance with Joy Studios also hosted free, ongoing kiddo dance classes entire day! Plenty of families took advantage of tiny ballet, hip hop, and salsa classes, to name just a few. Other fun activities organized by the studio included Christmas carol karaoke and a Disney and Superhero-themed dance. For a full range of the delightful classes they have available to little ones throughout the year, visit their website.

And, of course, many thanks to the vendors and community partners who came out for the event: Jen with Lularoe, Josie with SeneGence, Sarah with DoTerra, Caitlin with Catiebug Creations, Melissa with SW PDX Pediatric Dentistry, Erin with All Families Surrogacy, and Kendra with Karysma Birth! We were delighted to have you there, providing fun times for kiddos once they showed up!

Our swag bag partners were: Bridge City Kid, SW PDX Pedatric Dentistry, Skiddies, Industrial Barre + Ride, Lipsense, Beginnings, Frigg’s Mercantile and All Families Surrogacy. Thank you for the goodies!

And naturally, it wouldn’t be Cookies with Santa if we didn’t catch the man in red sampling some of the cookies. Even the grown-ups loved the opportunity to spend some time with you! Thanks for stopping by, Santa, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
