2018 Eggstravaganza {Event Recap}

PMB dove head-first into the adventure of hosting our first egg hunt on March 31st, with the support of our partnering sponsor Lil Kickers! Thank you to all who attended the event and made it a success!

Knowing how fickle Portland springs can be, we were delighted to host an INDOOR egg hunt for kids from around the city at PDX SportsCenter. The sold-out event told us that Portlanders also know that March in PDX can come with surprises. Best to be prepared.

 With three different age groups on the giant Lil Kickers fields, the littles were provided the opportunity to sort out what exactly an egg hunt is while the older kids went hog wild at rapid speeds (see above photo)! A determined crowd of kiddos meant the thrill of the hunt only lasted a few minutes for the oldest crew, while the youngest group tottered along, calmly picking up eggs and inspecting them with care.

Outside of the hunt, there was tons of fun! Many thanks to our coffee sponsors, Rose City Coffee and the MOB NW, for keeping parents bright-eyed at the 10am hunt. Our partners at Kona Ice of North Clackamas was on-site to serve up goodies for the kids (and often grown-ups, too!). We also enjoyed visits from the Tooth Fairy, courtesy of SW PDX Pediatric Dentistry, microscopic studies from Lice Charmers, gorgeous bath and body products from Lather + Foam, spinal screenings from True Potential Chiropractic, games and fun with Pacific Crest Children’s Urgent Care, soothing skin care products from Michelle at Rodan + Fields, and donuts from our partners at Sesame Donuts. Plus, the kids got to visit with Kicker, the resident bunny, and had surprise appearances from Superman and Rapunzel thanks to our friends at Regal Characters!

We’re also delighted to contribute 10% of proceeds from this event to Kinship House, a Portland-based non-profit supporting children and families navigating foster care and adoption.
