5 Fashion Pieces for Moms

I feel like there should be a store called Forever 39. It would sell chocolate, yoga pants, and Diet Coke. Who really has time for fashion with a busy family?

Right now, you’re probably trying to meal plan, grocery shop, get kids to t-ball practice, and think it’s Thursday when it’s still just Wednesday! You might have four days worth of dry shampoo in your hair, too. I feel you, mama. I feel you. Even amidst all this beautiful chaos of motherhood, I still want to feel like a woman.

Well, here are FIVE trendy fashion pieces that work for our busy mom lives without breaking the budget:

1. Converse

What’s cooler than a pair of converse? I love white Converse. They’re a classic, comfortable, and go with just about everything. AND they also come in a million other, versatile colors to mach any ensemble!

2. Blanket Scarf

As we transition into warmer weather, I love these blanket scarves in springy colors. Not just a fashion piece, but also great for a nursing mom or hiding that applesauce your kid just flung on you.

3. Denim Jacket

Denim jackets have made a comeback in a big way. If you’re feeling daring, try one in a longer length or distressed.

4. Cool Hats

Baseball caps and trucker hats are also a flashback piece making their return. Perfect for those early morning drop-offs at school. I especially love the ones from Portland Gear and The Oilery.

5. The Backpack Purse

With my brood, I need both hands free. I also despise my purse sliding off my shoulder when I am having to chase after one of my rascals. The backpack purse has got you covered! My personal fashionable faves are from Betsey Johnson

What are your favorite (and easy) mama fashion trends? I’d love to hear them in the comments!

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing as long as your kids are loved. So don’t beat yourself up for looking frumpy sometimes. We all do it. We’ve all been there. To quote a song from Annie, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.” Your best accessory is a smile. So, do that a lot and nobody will even notice your fourth day of dry shampoo hair.

You’re doing just fine. Better than fine, actually. You’re doing amazing. You keep tiny humans alive. You are the best.
