Many thanks to the amazing local camps who partnered with us for our 2023 Guide to Portland Summer Camps!

We know scheduling summer camps can sometimes get a little bit crazy. Many families have changes to their seasonal plans and need to make adjustments into August. We get it! To help make sense of the mayhem, we’re highlighting a handful of camps from our 2023 Guide to Portland Summer Camps that still have space!

A kid holds a handful of bubbles on a summer day.BaxterSports originally began in southeast Portland, but they’ve got options in North Portland, too! Check out their All Sports Camp options up north either July 17-21 and July 24-28. Maximum variety of sports = maximum fun! They also still have space in they All Girls Camp happening at Alberta Park July 24-26.

MJCC has a speckling of spots during their Day Camp, though spots are limited. Good for ages 3-15, it’s “full-day fun, all summer long.” Open to everyone!

Have a Spongebob fan, age 12-19? This is the perfect chance to grab one of the last remaining spots at Imagine Theatre‘s 2-week Spongebob the Musical intensive (July 24-Aug 4)! Let your drama-driven teen learn about how the power of optimism can save the world! Cost is $360 for TWO WEEKS and scholarships options are available!

PPS Families! Heads-up about a new-to-the-scene enrichment program at Vibe of Portland happening in two sessions (June 26-July 14 and again July 17-Aug 4), called The Digital Story: Create Your Own World Through Puppets and Virtual Reality. This story making workshop will be held at the Portland Moose Lodge. Get a spot ASAP! A few other spots are available in the following sessions:

Merry Mystics Spirit Camps has an early-summer session June 19-22 that packs all the holistic life skills you wish you knew when you were younger into one awesome summer camp?  At Merry Mystics, kids learn to regulate emotions, affirm self-love, connect with nature, access intuition, and so much more. Woven into songs, games, stories, meditation, and hands-on participation, kids learn powerful tools to handle life’s tough stuff with love.

Portland’s premier bike-training camps, Pedalheads, still has some spots available in different levels and at various locations. With both half-day and full-day options, and so many camp locations in and around the Portland metro area, there are a good number of possibilities. Whether you’re looking to get your kid off training wheels or biking on trails, check out the Pedalheads site for camps that still have space (they may it handy by clearly marking full camps once you filter by level, age, and location!).
